It is often said that the 'quality' of the camera equipment used in the creation of photographic images has as much to do with the quality of those images as the 'quality' of a chef's pots and pans have to do with the quality of the food he produces. This is to say it is the creative skill and experience of the photographer that is more relevant to the standard of the images he creates than the cameras and other equipment he uses.
Nevertheless, a minimum standard of photographic tools and equipment enables the capture and production of images that can meet critical scrutiny and fitness for purpose. The tools I typically employ on photo shoots include:
